What do I need to provide you with in order to get a price quote?

In addition to receiving the entirety of the documentation to be translated, we need the following information:

• Your contact information: name, company, address, telephone and fax numbers
• Turnaround time required
• Intended audience for the translation
• Deliverables required
• Whether you will provide softcopies or hardcopies

How are translations generally charged?

On a per word basis.

Is this rate based on source or target words?

Whenever the contents of the source document are provided in an electronic format where the word count can be easily obtained, we prefer to charge based on the word count of the source document. Otherwise, we charge based on the word count of the target document.

Do you charge a flat rate for translation?

No. Some of the factors that determine translation rates are: degree of complexity, deadline(s), volume, language(s) required, level of expertise required and deliverables. We evaluate and price each project individually.
